We were first introduced of "This Girl" during a women's conference hosted by Penndel. Their compelling story of how young girls in East Africa miss out on up to 4 months of schooling due to the lack of proper hygiene products that manage their menstrual cycle. Some girls are bullied because they've stained their clothes and suffer verbal abuse from others. They stop going to school because of this and experience pregnancy at a young age. The reason why we love this organization is because not only do they supply these young girls with proper hygiene products, but they've also employed local women and provide education, health, and dignity.
